YOU probably use Social Media like SHIT...AND THIS IS YOUR PROBLEM.

It is really hard for me to care about anything I am reading on all social media except the deep wounds being inflicted on ourselves with regards to police violence, racial inequality, and racial injustice. I have so many amazing friends and acquaintances, new and old, who do amazing things in the educational sector, tech sector, art community, music world, health services, military and more; but none of it matters if we cannot turn towards the mirror and realize one thing:

If we are not acting to help affect the change we want to see, we are hurting the chances for such change to ever occur.

APATHY is a HUGE fucking problem!!!!

MANY AMAZING HUMAN BEINGS HAVE SHAMEFULLY (myself absolutely included) BEEN AND CONTINUE TO BE TOO APATHETIC AND IT IS ERODING AT THE MORAL GROUNDINGS WE ATTEMPT TO HAVE AS INDIVIDUALS AND AS A COUNTRY.

White people are WAY too apathetic in our country with regards to racial issues.

Yes,  other races are apathetic towards causes that affect them as well BUT THAT IS NOT THE BIGGEST PROBLEM BY A FUCKING LANDSLIDE.  Moreover, these other races are on the receiving end of the injustices!!

If the racist bigotry you are aware of does not represent your morals, I have news for you:  TIME HAS RUN OUT ON SILENCE.

State your beliefs and say them loudly. Write them where others can read, bring it up at dinner, lunch and breakfast until you see the tide turning on these horrific behaviors, and an unspoken understanding and peace exists between you and anyone you might encounter while walking down the street.

Please do not try and condemn this exclamation as confused.

Bad police are indeed ruining it for the rest of them and us. Racist white people are indeed ruining it for the rest of us and taking lives in the wake of their ignorance and hatred.

If you BELIEVE this is the case then do something about it or find something you can do about it.

Use your voice.

Social media is a platform for you to be loud and share your morals, values, and beliefs. This tiny little action gives you the power to add to the collective consciousness of the world so we can start to organize.  Only them will we find a way to break through these challenging times, forge a life-affirming path forward and heal with one another.

We are too connected and too empathetic as human beings to ignore the injustices around us. Before posting anything more on social media try to take a stand for who you are and in what you believe.
